Blaster/Painter

The basic function of a Blaster/Painter is to prepare and paint various marine and industrial materials, structures, and equipment by applying heavy-duty protective coatings—such as epoxies, polyurethanes, and anti-fouling marine paints—using airless sprayers, rollers, and brushes to safeguard steel against saltwater, severe corrosion, and chemical wear.

Worksite Location(s): An industrial yard in Harvey, LA.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18+ years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to pass a drug-screen.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
• Must pass be able pass a fit-for-duty examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in blasting/painting, preferably in a marine or industrial environment.
• Any of the following AMPP (Association for Material Protection and Performance) certifications: C7 (Abrasive Blaster), C12 (Spray Application), CAS (Coating Application Specialist).
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
• Eligible to enroll in the DISA program.
