I am looking for an individual who can help care for my 92-year-old mother. She currently has a live-in caregiver who has lived with her for many years, but the caregiver is now dealing with some medical issues of her own and occasionally needs help covering appointments and other responsibilities. At this time, there is no set schedule, although we may establish one in the future. Hours and responsibilities may vary, so I am looking for someone who can be flexible and work alongside the current caregiver as needed. Future needs may change if the caregiver requires surgery. My mother is on Hospice care and sleeps much of the day, but she can get out of bed and transfer to a wheelchair or chair with assistance. She has a suprapubic catheter and a history of recurring UTIs. She needs help with mobility, transfers, and toileting. Hospice currently assists with bathing. She is generally pleasant, cooperative, and enjoys companionship. We are located in the La Porte/Deer Park area (77571). If interested, please don't just send "I'm interested."
