Video Producer and Editor Indiana Historical Society Indianapolis, Indiana, United States About this position Job Title: Video Producer and Editor Department: Content Studio Reporting Relationship: Director, Content and Digital Engagement Employees Supervised: N/A Full/part time: Full time FLSA Status: Exempt C POSITION PURPOSE: Position will shoot, record, edit, package, and deliver content that brings Indiana stories to life across all platforms of the Indiana Historical Society’s (IHS) content studio ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Produce and edit digital content Support podcasts production Identify and capture onsite footage opportunities for use in multiple platforms Perform other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Demonstrated experience producing and editing content Ability to shoot and edit videos, record clean audio, light interviews, and edit finished pieces for public use Ability to shoot and edit motion graphics, or willingness to learn Experience with editing software Commitment to responsible, inclusive, evidence-based storytelling Ability to work some evenings and weekends for the sake of capturing applicable footage PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Wrist & Visual Stamina – Ability to type and focus on a computer screen for prolonged periods of time Physical Movement – Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching In order to reach & pick up items, standing for long periods of time Strength – Ability to lift & carry items weighing up to 35 pounds (Incumbent must be able to meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
